It’s hard to believe that 2 years has already passed since the opening of the Richmond Hill IWTA branch. Our WT family has grown and the Banquet Dinners keep on getting better and better. It was a good chance to celebrate the success of our school with Sifu Lau, friends and family as well as the personal achievements we have all made in WingTsun!
View the photos or visit the photos section for more pictures from the banquet.
In addition to the existing weekend class on Saturday, 6:30PM to 9:30PM, the gym will be also be opening for training on Sundays, from 3:00PM to 6:00PM, starting this Sunday, March 1, 2009.
This will be convenient for those that have a hectic weekday schedule, or have to commute far to get to class. We recommend attending classes at least twice per week, for effective learning.
One of our students, Chapman Fu, will be hosting a TV talk show on Fairchild Television called “Leisure Talk” (大城小聚). Chapman Fu is not only a qualified instructor at the Richmond Hill Branch of IWTA Toronto, but also works as a professional pysiotherapist. In his 13 episode TV show, Chapman provides expert advice on how to prevent and speed up the recovery from accidents, work related ailments, poor posture, repetitive strain, degenerative disc diseases, fractures and sports related injuries. You can catch Chapman’s show every Wednesday at 6:15PM, starting February 18.
Everyone at IWTA Toronto would like to congratulate Chapman on his new show and wish him success!
It’s time for our annual Chinese New Year Celebration! On January 27th, 2009, come join us for a day of celebration at IWTA Richmond Hill. Members, friends, family and the rest of the world is welcomed to take part in the festivities!

Merry Christmas!!!! We had a great Pot-luck Christmas Dinner Party at the gym among family and friends! Not only did everyone enjoy the huge dinner feast, but many gifts were also being given out (some missed out on this!) as part of our fun festive night!!!
Special thanks to Sifu Carson Lau for hosting the party and the gifts, and Si-hing Richard Ngai for organizing and coordinating the party. Thanks to all of our members and guest for making this years gathering such a success!

This picture was sent to Sifu Lau, along with a birthday gift from Sifu Yan Yiu Wing (4th level technician) in Hong Kong. Sifu Yan Yiu Wing is one of Sifu Lau’s previous pupils and this picture depicts Sifu Lau’s “To Dai” ( student ), “To Suen” (grandson students) and “To-Tsang Suen” (Great grandson students) — Four generations of students, descendant from Sifu Lau.
In Chinese tradition, a family of 4 generations is a real blessing and Sifu Lau feels extremely blessed and proud of his Wing Tsun family.

If you answered YES to any or all of the above, here is your chance to turn your answer into action!
