It has become a tradition at CWTA to celebrate Chinese New Year with a gathering and feast on a roast pig as well many other good food. We want to let all our students young and old alike to understand the traditional Chinese culture and learn about the greetings and respect we give to the older generation. I hope that these customs can be passed down to the many generations to come.
This year is the year of the Monkey and our gym was packed with so much people we barely had room to move! I hope all our students and their family can continue to join us in this celebration every year!
Last but not least, I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone good heath and good fortune in the year of the Monkey.
2013 is the year of the water snake begins on February 10th. Carson Wing Tsun Academy celebrated this joyful occasion with two events.
On Sunday Feb. 10th, we had the pleasure of Master Jimmy Chan (陳志尚師傅) and his Lion Dance performance team putting on a spectacular show at our gym. We had a lot of spectators this year and we all enjoyed the show very much. For those who missed it, be sure to check it out next time.
All CWTA students and family members who attended enjoyed the show very much. Many of us had brought our friends, children, and co- workers to watch this show. We were all amazed at the loud drum music, high jumping action to catch the vegetables and liveliness of the Lion dancing.
The next day, Feb 11th, we gathered as a big family and celebrate with delicious food. We all had a great time to meet and mingle.
